General Information
The HawkCard is your official identification card at UW-Whitewater and serves as proof of association with the University.
The card is an essential part of campus life at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and should be carried with you at all times. Each card includes a digitized photo of the authorized user and following information:
- Name
- Photograph
- Status with the University
- University Identification Number
If you lose your HawkCard you should report it lost or stolen at any on-campus cashier location, or stop at the HawkCard Office, or call the HawkCard Office, or log onto the HawkCard Online Card Office web site and suspend your card via the web.
You can obtain a replacement HawkCard by stopping at the HawkCard Office, UC 245. Cards must be replaced when they show signs of excessive wear, become cracked, or broken, or the magnetic strip becomes damaged. The pieces of the broken card must be brought into the HawkCard Office. A $15 replacement fee will apply for regular ID cards and a $25 replacement fee applies to the residence proxy cards.
The magnetic strip on the back of your HawkCard is encoded with your ID number for electronic verification of status and access to your account funds, such as your Meal Plan and Purple Point Account.
